Kylee Grant

Teacher
Hi! I’m Kylee, and I am SO excited to be joining the IDT staff this upcoming season! Dance has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember, and it has truly shaped who I am. I have always loved the energy, friendships, hard work, and confidence that dance brings, and I’m so excited to share that love with the dancers at IDT!
In high school, I had the opportunity to be part of my school’s drill team, where I made some of my favorite memories and learned so much about dedication, teamwork, and pushing myself outside of my comfort zone. One of my biggest highlights was winning a State Championship title my senior year!
After high school, I continued dancing in college, where I was able to compete at NDA Nationals and finish as First Runner-Up! My experiences as a competitive dancer have given me so many amazing opportunities and taught me the importance of working hard while still enjoying every moment.
Over the years, I have developed a huge passion for teaching and choreography. I love watching dancers learn a new skill, gain confidence, and discover what they are capable of. My goal is to create a fun, encouraging environment where dancers feel comfortable being themselves while also being challenged to grow.
Kennedy Bethers

Teacher
Kennedy started dancing when I was around 3 years old and have been in love with it ever since!
I spent four years dancing competitively, where I had the opportunity to earn various titles and solo awards. Those years taught me so much about dedication, hard work, and the importance of believing in yourself as a dancer. I loved being able to challenge myself, grow my skills, and create so many special memories through dance.
I then continued my dance journey on the Wasatch High School drill team, the Waspettes. During my time on the team, I had the opportunity to compete in numerous region and state competitions and serve as Drill President during my senior year, 2025–2026. Being a team leader was such a meaningful experience and helped me discover an even greater passion for encouraging and supporting other dancers.
One of my favorite things about dance is seeing how much a dancer can grow—not only in their technique and abilities, but also in their confidence. I am passionate about creating a positive and encouraging environment where dancers feel comfortable challenging themselves, trying new things, and having fun!
Rylee Slater

Team Director
Dance has been a huge part of Rylee's life for as long as she can remember, and she feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to train, compete, travel, and learn from some of the most incredible people in the dance industry.
I grew up training at Center Stage Performing Arts Studio before continuing my training with Artistic Dance Project. Through my years of training, I have had the incredible opportunity to work with and learn from some of the industry's most talented choreographers and artists, including Travis Wall, Teddy Forance, Chantel Aguirre, Stacey Tookey, and Jason Parsons.
Two of those experiences became especially meaningful to me when Jason Parsons and Chantel Aguirre choreographed solos for me, giving me the opportunity to travel to Canada and attend Camp Protégé, which remains one of the highlights of my dance career!
I have also had the opportunity to travel to New York and Los Angeles to compete at nationals and experience some amazing dance competitions, including The Dance Awards, Hollywood Vibe, Velocity, Radix, and NYCDA. Each experience has taught me so much, both as a dancer and as a person, and has given me an even greater appreciation for the art of dance.
